Hermione Granger, muggle-born witch, undisputed smartest in her class, close friend to Harry Potter the Boy Who Lived, finished her schooling at Hogwarts in the early summer of 2002.
Following that, she spent a couple of years doing some kind of research that no one knows much about at a mysterious department at the Ministry of Magic. She's not very open about her past, especially about her time with the Ministry.
She burned out and decided to leave the Ministry to pursue her own research, a confusing combination of magical and muggle fields, that no one but her really understands. With that goal in mind, she decided to study scientific pursuits at a muggle university, which is why she moved to fandom_towers.
During her time at the Towers, she met and fell in love with Tara. Some time later, Giles needed some help with an endeavor in Small Town, USA. Tara agreed to move there and dragged her girlfriend along, which is how they ended up at justanothertown. Some time later, they were whisked off to hearts_andminds, and then just as mysteriously whisked away to time_heart, where they currently reside.
