Date: Friday, 9 February (slightly pre-dated)
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Place: Soaring Dragon - mid-range dining establishment in Hogsmeade
Characters Involved: Severus Snape, Draco Malfoy, Invitation Only
Rating: Knowing these two, better say PG-13 to be safe - Draco has a potty-mouth
Surprisingly, Severus - the man to whom grudge-holding was an art-form - had found enough forgiveness to accept Draco's almost-peace-offering of a belated birthday present, and therefore extend the invitation to dine.
He hadn't quite gone so far as to resume carrying the pocket-watch Draco had given him for a birthday long ago, before he'd even started Hogwarts and Severus had been almost as beloved as a 'favourite uncle' - perhaps more.
Now, he didn't know what he was, or where they stood. He didn't even know where Draco was living - though he seemed to be remarkably friendly with his father lately, which was cause for alarm in Severus' thoughts.
He'd set the place and the time, and now waited for Draco's arrival. Teaching robes were still open at the throat to reveal the Ministry collar worn with almost martyr-ish pride and defiance. Draco would come, or he wouldn't, but Severus couldn't stand the state of disquiet any longer. Severus was sitting at a booth near the door, watching for the boy's arrival. The restaurant was by no means fancy or expensive - Severus' own way of sending a message - he was not in humour to be indulgent of Draco's moods at this juncture.
