It came as something of a surprise to Ginny that she was not the only early bird to her own protest. She needed to get on the steps to help Harry hang banners that read "IMPEACH SHINGLETON!" and to figure out exactly how things would work. This was her first protest, after all- what was she supposed to, just stand around? The proper etiquette on peaceful demonstrations was lost upon her.
She’d gotten to the Ministry building nearly a full hour early to meet Harry, and she brought with her a surprise; little buttons that bore the same message as the banners Harry made. They were small and transfigured by her own wand, meaning they were nothing spectacular. Small white pins with black lettering that could be fixed to just about any cloth surface. Ginny wore hers on her robes, on the left side of her chest and clearly visible. There were only about fifty or so in the box, because an official RSVP never happened for this event, and Ginny wasn’t too sure many people would bother to come out. She hoped there were enough, and also that they’d stay in fashion for the weeks to come.
Many people, Ginny noticed, were only stopping by to see what was happening. Not too many of their kind subscribed the Quibbler, and no doubt people only heard about the protest through Harry. In fact, Ginny had counted on using Harry’s fame to draw people in. There was a guaranteed audience when things involved the famous Harry Potter. A few did stay, though, once they got a glance at the banners; even if witches and wizards weren’t pro-werewolf, they were still anti-Shingleton.
And of course, their friends and the DA and Remus’s pack would be stopping in at some point (or Ginny assumed, anyways). It wouldn’t be a terribly pathetic looking protest, at least.
"Nice turnout, isn’t it, Harry?" she asked.
