Characters: Draco Malfoy and Ginny Weasley
Location: Malfoy Manor, then the clinic
Time: late Sunday afternoon
Rating: PG for now
After wandering the grounds for a bit, Draco headed inside to his room and began to clear out his desk. He needed to get the images of Evie out of his head. Instead of destroying them, though, he put them in the bottom drawer.
As he opened the drawer, he noticed a missive from Ginny regarding the status of the clinic. He pulled out the letter and reread it. Draco didn't even remember getting the letter, let alone reading it. Yet, there it was, obviously opened. He sighed. Yet another mess he'd gotten himself into. Still, despite his views of Lupin, it was the one thing he'd done to try to help Severus.
Severus.
He put the letter down and picked up his cloak. He needed to see the clinic, and determine if he wanted to end his association with it entirely.
He crossed to the front door, then apparated to the clinic's back door. Quickly, he headed into the clinic itself, looking around.
Draco was still drunk, having drunk more after Severus had come and gone. His parents hadn't returned, so there had been no interruption to his self-destructive streak. Well, when it came to self-destructive habits, few excelled as Draco did. And excel, he did.
