Seamus reported for work a bit early; well in time for customers looking to make their afternoon shorter by imbibing a bit at lunch. There were already more customers here than he expected, so he omitted his usual self-indulgence of singing while going through his morning routine of checking on the stores at the bar to be certain all was ready and prepared for any kind of libation he might be called upon to concoct. That complete, he had a word with Tom about the serious shortage of Schnapps. Tom left to have a word with the house-elves, and Seamus’ eyes fell on the latest Daily Prophet Tom had left on the bar.
Seamus read with interest and disgust, wondering how much was fiction and how much was fact. At least with The Quibbler a man knew where he stood.
