One of my favourite bits of information was a list I saw years ago - it had the numbers per 100,000 people who were injured in various ways - I never realized so many people are injured by walls - let alone by pyjamas. Go figure.

According to the '2000 Year Book Australia' from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, those last 4 things (batteries, knives, beer bottles [that was to casualty, not emergency. is that the same thing?] and toilet injuries) are true. I was reading "The Odd Body 3" by Dr Stephen Juan, and those facts are mentioned in it, with that statistic book referenced.

The battery one may be misleading. It doesn't say anything about electrocution. Perhaps they licked leaking batteries, and swallowed a lethal dose of acid.

Or, maybe they weren't the kind with the poles both on one end, and the daft buggers chocked to death trying to touch both ends with their tongues.
