LOL Heroes
Maaan... 3x07 can be summed up in one word: awkward. Not awkward in the bad-cinematography kinda way, awkward in the ... very lolworthy kind of awkwardness between characters.
Claire and Elle bonding! As utterly bizarre as that sounds, it actually seemed to work. Except for the last part where Elle ran off because she wants her power taken away ... this is Elle, right, who has something of a love affair with her ability to shoot lightning? I can see why she wants it fixed, yeah, but gone - no. (Props to Kristen Bell here; that tremor in her voice when she's speaking while electrocuting herself, that's a nice touch. Especially since all the electricity is CGed in.)
Sylar and Peter bonding: a bit less weird, I guess. Sylar's got the whole parental approval complex going, after all, so it is plausible that he'd rescue his brother because his mother told him to, and then betray said brother because his father told him to ... that is one gloriously screwed up family, there. It's mean, but I laughed at how everyone's all "OMG, you're not healing!" every time they first saw Peter. Poor guy must be sick of it.
I still hate Matt/Daphne. That was the fakiest of all fake deaths on the show, but I was still hoping because ... you know. Matt/Daphne?
Tracy >>>>> Niki/Jessica. "Let me get this straight: she's the biological mother of your illegitimate daughter, and he's her adoptive father." AHAHA. (I love how Nathan's first thought is to call HRG, and then Claire calls Nathan. Wonderfully screwed up family.) So much win in the writing of this episode in general, though. "Have you met their mother?" *dies*
Also, needs moar HRG.
