There is one more thing to add to their list of commonalities that I hadn't known of until a few hours ago... and it's left me a little flabbergasted.

Turns out Michael Shanks had auditioned Read more... )

Also, mum and me are going to do our SG1 marathon once we've settled into the new house. We did it last new year too.

What do you think of SGU? Isn't Scott so yawn-worthy?? He annoys me. Eli is cool. Its all just a little BSGery.

(I never thought I'd get a chance to use this icon, ROFL)

Never watched BSG so can't compare. :(

Scott is... confusing... kinda. He's a farm-boy turned soldier who can't keep his ya-hoo in his pants. It's like SGU producers wanted to make it blatantly clear within the first half of season 1 that there's no way you can slash up this character ( ... )

I'll stick with it because every now and then I get to see Jack, and because Daniel is in it soon :)

It is soapy. You get that from the 5 minutes of previouslies at the start!

It certainly gives the illusion that the writers don't want it to be messed with OR that they think everyone is so stupid and fickle that they need to lay it out on a platter because we can't use our own imaginations. They know who they want together and no one's going to mess with it.

But I agree - Greer is cool. Telford is disgusting.

Did you see my post 'bout all the 'might have beens'? ripperspet February 3 2010, 10:12:30 UTC
Michael Shanks, James Marsters (Spike) and Jude Law all audtitioned for Shinzon in "Star Trek: Nemesis". Try to imagine that one! MS... bald? LOL!

Nathan Fillion (Firefly/Serenity & Castle) auditioned for the role of John Crichton in "Farscape". Nope... can't picture it. All I keep seein' is Cap'n. Mal from "Firefly/Serenity", only in black leather. Aeryn (Claudia Black) woulda eaten his lunch! Ben Browder was definitely the better choice there.

If you haven't seen Nathan Fillion in "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog", you oughta check it out. It's so funny! Apparently, Joss Whedon still had some more musical in him. Six parts, each about ten minutes... it's got Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother/Doogie Houser M.D.) and Felicia Day (BtVS) in it as well... along with some other familiar faces from BtVS's musical ep.

I knew about MS trying out for Shinzon, but it never really came to mind that he would have to have been *bald* for the part! ROFL! That thought made my day, lol.

Also knew about Fillion (Firefly *LOVE*) and have seen the first part of Dr. Horrible, but have yet to see the other bits. NF and NPH in the same storyline is so awesome; Neil Patrick Harris has been my hero for a long time, though he definitely reignited that love after Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, LOL.

Can't picture Fillion at all as Crichton, but even with last night's ep of LA, I was picturing it with Shanks as Callen. *facepalm* It drives me nuts; 'cause I like the fact that O'Donnell has the part, he's doing a great job, but I can't help but also try to image how Shanks would have done certain scenes too. *shrugs*

I know, it's SAD.

Just can't picture ANY of those guys bald... well, MAYBE James Marsters. *grin ( ... )
