I can't seem to find the words I want now that I'm updating this journal. I'm depressed. I have no idea why I should be feeling this way. I have a wonderful husband and a brilliant infant. Life is good. Or at least I thought it was

couple options that i can think of:

1 - get the cat checked at the vet for some urinary problem

2 - have at least 2 litter boxes per cat (lots of cat owners say that works well)

3 - confine the cat to the smelly room. maybe it will realize that life sucks when everything smells like piss.

4 - give tom a choice - you are the cat. but be serious about it.

i know when i rescued animals for a few years...they all had issues and strange quirks (ex...one cat would NEVER piss/shit in anything but the bathroom tub) and if they don't work in your life, it sucks, but you need to find them a better, more appropriate home (probably one without any other animals...since it seems that your cat is very territorial)

i am sorry you are going through all of this. i had to give up a cool cat because of my x's allergies. it totally sucked, but at least he had a good 4 years being the best friend of a little only child girl from up north in WI.

Thank you for your advice. We've tried most of those things already. The second litter box is working well, but its so close to our bedroom that in when they go in the middle of the night it wakes us up!
