People keep nay saying about us moving to Victoria right now.  Economy is bad, rents are high... but I am getting really excited and I think it is all going to be fine.  Sure, John and I won't both be making over $20 an hour for awhile, and we will have to scale back a bit, but we will be fine.  I am not working every weekend, but if one, or both

My parents just redid their house and were talking about making a seperate- entrance suite in the basement. I don't know if they did that or not, but I can ask them and see if they did. If so I imagine it wouldn't be any problem for you to stay there for Feb (pay a bit of "rent" and stay for the month). If not, you could probably stay there for a week if you needed. I'll ask and let you know.
