Jury Trial is the right to be tried by a jury, usually requiring a unanimous vote of twelve randomly selected citizen or subjects.

This can be corrupted by:
Judge only trials, the judge acts as the jury
Juries selected from a particular social class, or permanent juries
Non unanimous votes 11 to 1 etc.

Double Jeapardy is the right not to be tried for the same offence twice. If you're found innocent, they can't have another crack at you. If you're found guilty, you can't be tried and sentenced again for the same crime.

Presumption of Innocence is a key part of British inspired law (UK, US, Cn, Au, NZ). Our courts are heavily weighted against the accused.

Blunkett makes me mad!
Grr!
