Title: Chapter Six - Holding On

"Ryo-chan~!" the familiar name was called.
"Nani??Yu..ri?"Yamada tried to cover up the blunder.
"Ryo-chan... You're still thinking of him," Chinen hugged the other softly
"Gomen ne Yuri," Yamada said as he buried his head on Chinen's shoulders.
He hugged Yamada tighter hoping it will comfort the other and a soft sob could be heard faintly as the older boy snuggled closer into the other's embrace. Chinen could only hug the boy tighter and pat his back hoping it would give him the comfort that is needed.
"Arigatou."
"You don't have to say thank you Ryo-chan. I understand how you feel," Chinen heart clenched. "I'd do anything for you because I love you."
How long has it been since they were apart from each other? Days? Weeks? No. It had been months since the broke up. It had been three months to be exact.
As the school bell rang, Yamada wiped away his tears and Chinen went back to his seat. Though Yamada tried his best to busy himself with work so as to forget about Yukito, he failed to do so and Chinen could only watch Yamada exhaust himself at the sidelines.
"Why won't you look at me? I'm right in front of you but you always look somewhere else..."
No matter how Yamada try to forget about Yukito, he always fails. Whatever Chinen does, it reminds him of Yukito. He would cry to sleep thinking that Yukito is better off without him and that he must be happy with the break up. Just the thought made Yamada frustrated with himself but he couldn’t do anything. Instead, Yamada would find comfort from Chinen.
He was selfish to ask for such favours from his bestfriend knowing of the other’s feelings towards him. He knew Chinen would be more than happy to accept him and it’s because of the care Chinen had given him so far that he was able to hold on.
"Nishii, please eat something... You look very pale..."
"I'm fine! I really..." Yukito fainted.
"NISHII!" Ryutaro caught Yukito before he hit the floor. "Yabai! He's having a high fever!"
Ryutaro carried Yukito to the nurse office and stayed by Yukito's side till the other wakes up. As Yukito stirred from his sleep, Ryutaro helped up to sitting position.
"Ne, Nishii... I know you're still trying to get over the break up but you have to take care of yourself," Ryutaro said softly.
"Ryuu-chan..." Yukito looked down on the bedsheet.
Tears dropped from his cheeks as he let his feelings out.
"I miss him Ryuu-chan. I feel so empty... Why must we break up? I don't understand this at all!" Yukito clenched his fist and continued to cry.
Ryutaro stood up and hugged Yukito. "Please don't cry... I'm here."
Yukito was shocked when he felt Ryutaro's touch but soon relaxed into the embrace. "I don't know what to do anymore Ryuu-chan. Wakanai yo..."
"It's alright. Then let me be the one to guide you now." Ryutaro pulled himself away from the embrace but still stood close to him. "Let me be the one to love you."
"Ryuu-chan...?"
"You don't have to say anything if you are unsure." Ryutaro hugged Yukito softly.
Yukito was unsure about a lot of things. He was really confused about what he should do. Being in Ryutaro's embrace makes him feel safe, just like how Yamada hugs had felt. He slowly moved and hugged Ryutaro around the waist.
"Ryuu-chan..."
"Shh... Get some more rest and when you wake up again we’ll grab some food before heading home. Alright?"
"Uhn." Yukito laid back on the bed and before he drifted off to sleep, he softly whispered "Arigatou Ryuu-chan".
Ryutaro just smiled, ever so gently at him. He knows it's wrong to take Yukito away from Yamada but he couldn't stand seeing the terrible state that Yukito was in. He wants to be the one that takes care of Yukito.
"I will protect you and not make you cry. I'll stay by your side till you the day when you say you don't need me anymore."

A/N: As I said earlier, I did finished up all the chapters that I said I would post up but Tingke is kind of busy so once she finish beta-ing all the chapters for this Fics I'll post the new fics. This way, it will be easier to navigate too. ^^
Thank you for reading. I miss writing randomly. I missed my bestfriend so much but after meeting up with him just now it's all good~ I miss writing about him since most of the fics are base on my feelings. You get what i mean? *wiggle eyebrows* hahahah.
