Summary: You're like a treasure to me but our friendship is the best gem I've found in that treasure.
I've always thought having a friend like you was the best thing that could happen to me. When we became closer and one way or another, we ended up as bestfriends, it meant the world to me.
Truthfully, I've always had special feelings for you. Ever since we first met, I felt that you were special.
Although people tried to avoid you thinking you're selfish, I didn't care. I didn't care about the criticism about you because I wanted to be beside you. You gave me the feeling that I need to protect you.
"No matter what, I will always be your bestfriend" I chirped.
You replied with a simple nod and a smile.
After going to Senior Highschool, you gain so much more popularity. By then, I guess you made more new friends and they are better than me. We spent less time talking to each other and going out too.
I was kind of disappointed that we drifted apart. I still continued to love you though. Even though I try to forget you, I can't. I know we won't be together. That's why I always kept that distance so I won't let my hopes get high.

All of us were busy that day, everyone was preparing for the big event that was coming up;the dinner and dance for the students. I volunteered to help as they needed more manpower. I was happy to see you sign up for it too.
While we were doing our work, you were at the corner with the banner working on it alone. I would always glance at you to make sure everything is alright. I went back to my work as quickly, trying to finish the task.
"Why do you have to be so mean?" Keito whispered to himself. "Why can't you see my little actions are all because of you?"
Keito looked at Yuto's back and remembered how they first met. He was always happy that the other was the one to take the initiative in the friendship to bring it to the next level.
Ever since they entered Senior Highschool, he thought it was time to change and make a difference so that Yuto would be able to see him more. However, the idea backfired.
Just like Yuto, Keito felt that he wanted to protect the other. Although Yuto always seem hyper and bubbly, his heart is very fragile.
Keito was so frustrated that it seems all his effort of changing himself was not working. Tears of frustration were visible as he stopped his task and brought his knees to his chest to bury his face so people won't see his tears.
Yuto was almost done with his task. He turned to check on Keito. He smiled warmly at Keito's back. As he stared more, he realise Keito was crying.
He went over to the latter slowly and wrapped his arm around the other.
"Doushitano... What are you crying for?" Yuto cooed softly.
The warmth from Yuto made Keito cry harder.
"Sssh... Don't cry~ I'm here. I'm here..." Yuto caressed Keito's hair while hugging him hoping it will calm him down.
"It's because of you!" Keito looked at Yuto. "It's all because of you that I'm like this!"
Yuto was confused as to why Keito was so pissed off with him when he didn't remember doing anything wrong. Yuto hugged Keito tightly. Keito returned the hug with a tighter one.
It was normal for Yuto to show affection towards people. However, Keito doesn't really show much affection towards anyone before. It shocked Yuto that he actually hugged him back.
"Can't you see me?" Keito whispered as he buried his face into Yuto's neck. "Can't you see that I'm doing everything just because of you?"
Yuto felt butterflies in his stomach and his heart flipped from just that simple confession. He was happy to hear that from his bestfriend. However, he didn't want to let his hopes get high.
He parted from the hug slowly and sat down properly. He then gestured Keito to lay down. Keito did not hesitate to do so. Yuto wiped away the remaining tears and placed a soft kiss on Keito's forehead.
Keito was stunned for a moment at the action. He blinked for a moment and stared at Yuto and smiled at him with a bit of pink tinted on his cheeks. Keito felt calmer when he looked at Yuto smiling.
"Was that a yes?" Keito asked softly.
Yuto bend forward and place a soft loving kiss on Keito's lips. Keito smiled to himself as his heart did a few flips. When Yuto pulled away from the kiss, Keito pulled him back to embrace him.
"I love you, Yuto" Keito whispered.
"Thank you. I love you too Keito" Yuto whispered back.
The two of them was already in their own world and forgot there were others around them. The students around them saw what happened. Some giggled and went back to their task while others just ignored them.
"I've always love you and I would continue waiting even if you don't love me back" Yuto said softly. "I was just scared to lose our friendship if I did confess to you"
"Thank you so much for loving me. I'm glad I have you as my bestfriend and now my lover" Keito pecked Yuto's lips before continuing to lay down on Yuto's lap while smiling to himself.
-- Owari --A/N: Had an awesome dream. Something that goes like this but of course there's more to the ending. The dream was Yuto and me. I wasn't expecting such confession from him though. We are too worlds apart. Too far from each other. (laugh) I hope I will be able to meet him one day though. (:
