So, I tell my former job (because I am still honest) that I was accepted for disability and that I will be receiving payments soon. They, in their infinate wisdom sent me a bill for $18,064 due in 14 days (or a penalty of $140 a day) for money they have paid me over the time period of the last 18 months ( Read more... )

No.. that's something you can take to court. Honestly speaking, you were working before they where told you were accepted for disablity. In short, that's a problem on their part. They can't bill you for it after you've left and because you've been accepted.

I mean this too, this is something you'd wanna take up with a lawyer.

Its better than that. On the first of the year they let me go saying i as no longer needed - hence the 'former job'
I was disabled in Dec, so it seems to me like they got rid of me once they discovered I wa disabled but I cant prove that.

my current employer is letting me this week. they say they can't afford to pay me.I have also been havong trouble with my hands and sometime i can;t do anything. I'm starting to see more tumors on my feet and it really hurts. I have been told I need to file for disbility but I don't know where to start. Pay them back for time put in. that is B.S. I'm not talking bachlor of science either.
