This was... squee factor nine. XDDDD OMG I adore this AU. And married to Kuwabara-sensei? a;lksdjfa;ldksfjasd poor Akira, but it's wonderful to see how Kouyo controlled the family, and it's understandable in this case that Akira would be closer to his mother. Interesting too, on how his outlook changed toward go because of the influence of this mother and father. The pro world isn't that tantalizing with two of the best outside it.

Awesome AU. Just watching things unfold was wonderful. The only thing I would comment on is the amount of typos (in particular past tense) here, but a solid storyline overall. Just plain awesome. Almost makes me wish this was real.

Very glad you enjoyed this - I was concerned the Kuwabara marriage would really put people off, but it makes a lot of sense to me! And Kouyo is a lot more subtle here, but almost as powerful.

And yes, very good description of Akira's changes in perspective. I think with Kuwabara as a father, the Go world would be a LOT less appealing.

Considering that both Ai and Onto ran me to the ground in regard to the tenses in my fic, I'm not so sure if I'm the right one, but I'm more than happy to beta ^_^;; As you already know I'm a huge stickler for cultural accuracies too so I can definitely help you there, especially since I can simply ask the question in person and get an immediate answer.

What amazes me is that Akira managed to come out good looking in this world too. Looks like he really, really took after Kouyo in this one!

Touya Kouyo married to Kuwabara... that amuses me more than I can say! But it sets up the mood really well, for the weighted exchanges in the Go study sessions, Akira's thoughts on his mother, and even the way Kuwabara Kouto does things 'the proper way'!

Loved the later part where they discussed the value of NetGo.

I wasn't sure if the marriage would amuse or traumatize, but it's so easy to speculate on. is working on a small essay about this fic

Kouko would have a very different view than Kouyo - it's a bit like Sai, because she wants to play, no matter HOW she has to do that.

I really liked the bits about the NetGo and how Sai and Kouto paralleled each other there. I couldn't help but want just a little bit more so I could see what happened. (And I don't keyboard smash but... same idea XD)
