I've been reading with interest and delight your infrequent ---:(--- journal entries!
Here's a little (not grandmotherly, but I hope friendly) advice:
Nobody but nobody ever starts anything at "the top of the heap" -- you didn't either. You didn't get to the top in ME without working at it. And if you didn't get nervous (read scared) when going after something new or something you've not tried before you wouldn't be human (I'm glad to know you're human!). Go for what really interests you and you'll love what you do -- even if it scares you! It never hurt anyone to set some difficult to reach goals.
We love you and know you'll be a success story in whatever you go for if your heart's in it.
