One lyric in particular always struck me as sinister in "Her come Santa Claus";

"...so hang your stockings and SAY YOUR PRAYERS 'cause santa Claus is coming tonight!"

Wow. I'm officially terrified of whatever doom Santa is apparently bringing to inspire religious plea.

Anywho, Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas to you and yours, man :)

I have to say I consider myself particularly blessed to have avoided the Christmas Shoes song... you remember when we were younger and they used to have "The Little Drummer Boy" on CBS and the supposed dramatic climax of that show was little baby Jesus bringing the lamb back to life after BaaBaa was mortally wounded?

Talk about some F with your head Christmas stuff in there, and it was MADE FOR KIDS!

Go figure that Rudolph is still on the air every year and LDB isn't (or isn't heavily pimped)...

*shudder*

thankfully, i haven't heard the Christmas Shoes song either.... of course, i'm trying my best to AVOID 99.1's LONG AS FUCK trek thru christmas tunes. especially, mariah and britney and .... UGHH!!! bring back, bring back, oh bring back santana to me, to me! hahahaha

i do, however, like the "new" natalie cole/ nat king cole duet... tho, she's sounding a little worn these days... you say tomato and i say vibrato...

MC & HNY!

sorry, I have to say it, I actually like the "santa's got a brand new bag" song. it's funny. But I saw this thing on PBS yesterday and there was a guy talking about how fed up he was with cheesy Christmas songs, like how he wanted to roast the chipmonks on an open fire. Then he said, "If I hadn't lost my marbles, Handles Messiah would make up for it all, but alas, I HAVE lost my marbles"
