PART ONE A few days later Kazuya found himself observing Jin more than usual. He had killed a man and was acting like nothing happened, like this was part of normal life. He was laughing, he was getting angry, he was loving Kazuya… as everything was okay. But for the younger one, such things weren’t okay. And he had known that Jin was this kind of man, he had known that from the start and he had chosen to close his eyes at such atrocities. Maybe in his heart, he had hoped Jin wasn’t like this anymore, he hadn’t killed anyone anymore. But after seeing the cold and ruthless eyes cast on Hiroki, Kazuya had realized that Jin had never stopped from being a murderer.
And this time he killed because of Kazuya. No, this time too. Because Jin had killed his mother and even if he had suspected so, he never thought that Jin would have done this personally. He had no lingering feelings or whatsoever for the woman that trashed him half of his life, but it had his stomach queasy and his mind blank at the realization of Jin being the murderer of his mother. It made him feel guilty. Yes, he was feeling guilt and pain seeing Jin so wretched in his doings, in his feelings for him and he was also feeling the need to do something and help him. Because he had seen that he had no power or whatsoever in stopping Jin from committing murder. He had gotten ahead of himself, he had believed their new discovered feelings would be enough for Jin to back away, to change his mind. He had indeed been a fool.
Now he was haunted by the fictive memory of a Jin killing his mother and Hiroki. Every time he closed his eyes, he’d seen a mad Jin with his hands bathed in blood and endlessly stabbing the bodies of people that had hurt Kazuya and then countless of other unknown ones. He had many times woken up drenched in sweat, his throat hurting and dry telling Kazuya that he had been screaming after Jin. What a cruel fate. He had been having nightmares from his childhood and now he was having nightmares because of his lover being a killer. But they were at least bearable, it made his resolve in helping Jin more burning, more powerful.
Because he had to stop Jin in doing such a thing. He had to stop him and bring him on the right path or at least make him realize that his way of dealing with things was wrong. Kazuya couldn’t quite forget the tearing face of Hiroki, the way he had begged and how in the end he couldn’t even have stopped the inevitable. He had left that place, away from where death seemed to be a usual customer, not wanting to deal with anything that it might concern it. He had been a coward, he had turned away from an asking for help human being and he had broken his own rules. All because he had fallen in love with a murderer. All because he only knew what’s like to be important for once while being with Jin. Kazuya was aware that it was like he had murdered Hiroki because he had let Jin do such a thing, he hadn’t tried harder… he had let things follow their flow. And he couldn’t go back and change anything, he wasn’t able to anymore.
But, just like in his nightmares, he’ll stretch his hands towards Jin and he’ll stop him no matter what. Even if there were other bloodied hands pulling him back, not letting him get close to his lover, he would push forward through them and he’ll grab onto Jin, never to let go. Because Jin was his everything now, his safety net, his own heart. He won’t let Jin fall even deeper in blood. If needed, Kazuya would enter in that sea of blood himself too just to pull Jin back, just to bring him back into his arms. Because the way things were, Jin was only hurting himself, was secluding his human heart behind a thick and cold wall. And Kazuya was going to reach out to that heart and he’ll pull Jin back from his bloodied road.
And that’s why after these few days, Kazuya had come to a decision and was ready to talk it with Jin. Maybe the older won’t agree from the start, but he wasn’t going to back down from this easily. He had to try, he had to succeed. Jin had to come back to his senses and had to stop killing people as if he was God. Although Kazuya understood he might have various reasons - in case of Hiroki and his mother he did have - it wasn’t normal no matter how you looked at it. He won’t just stand by and play the perfect lover, watching how the other was destroying himself slowly.
Kazuya looked down at the sleeping face of Jin’s and sighed. It was going to be difficult to make this man realize that the way he had lived up until now was wrong. But for his - and both their - sake, Kazuya was ready to do anything. He hadn’t been able to save either Jin from being a murderer or Hiroki from being a victim of his, but now… he had to be strong and capable.
“Jin…” The younger whispered close to his lover’s ear and his lips caressed the other’s cheek.
The older whined and released a whimper as he shifted in bed, trying to chase the sleep that seemed to be running away from him. “Five more minutes.” He begged with a childish voice, cuddling even more into Kazuya’s open arms.
Kazuya chuckled and bit Jin’s ear lob. “Five more minutes and you’re off in dreamland for another two hours.” He sighed dramatically. “Get up, Jin, it’s noon.” He then scolded, realizing that he had woken up since an early hour and had spent re-thinking his plans regarding Jin. But at least it hadn’t been a nightmare to wake him up and alert Jin once more about his mental state.
“Don’t wanna!” Jin complained with a whiny voice and proceeded to hide his face into Kazuya’s shirt, entwining their legs and trying to trap Kazuya under his weight to be able to get some more sleep. “It feels too good to be here with you…” he then added with a dreamy voice, sighing happily.
“I’ll kick you off the bed.” Kazuya threatened and tried to shove Jin a little, failing beautifully and making him sigh. “Yes, it feels good being with you too.” He added in an undertone, pressing his cheek on Jin’s head. “But I want you to wake up… I want to talk with you about something.” Kazuya continued and his tone was a bit too serious.
Jin groaned, obviously not wanting to comply with Kazuya’s request but he still sat up, rubbing his eyes with the heel of his palm, looking even sleepier than he already was. “What is it?” he asked, not being really interested as he knew that nothing could have happened with the younger considering the fact that he hadn’t really spent any time without Jin in the past few days, Jin feeling a little too overprotective of his lover after Hiroki’s interference.
But Kazuya couldn’t bring himself to say it yet after seeing his lover looking so cute with puffy eyes and a bed hair. So he leaned and pecked Jin’s lips. “Good morning.” He said with a smile.
“Good morning.” Jin replied with a smile starting to form on his lips as he raised his hand and placed it on Kazuya’s nape, bringing him forward and catching his mouth into a new kiss, sucking on his lips like it was an eternity since he had last tasted them.
Kazuya giggled and pulled back, looking at Jin with sparkling eyes. “That’s better.” He said, tilting his head in a cute way. “Right?” The younger dreaded the moment to talk with Jin, it was making him feel uneasy already.
“It would be even better if you didn’t run from me.” Jin pouted for a second before smirking and pulling on Kazuya’s arm to bring him back and kiss his lips again, feeling like he could never get enough of that strawberry taste and he’ll always be craving for it.
Kazuya laughed and hugged Jin. “I’m not running actually.” He said and let his head down. “I’m more like searching for the right moment to talk with you. Or at least to create it.” Kazuya said and gave a nervous laugh.
Jin groaned again and detached himself from the younger, climbing down from bed and searching for some clothes after realizing that he won’t be able to fall asleep until he talked with Kazuya. “Then tell me already.” He said, trying to not sound concerned but failing as different thoughts started to attack his mind and make him worry now.
Kazuya looked at Jin and chewed his lower lip. “I want to work together with you.” He said suddenly and waited for Jin’s reaction.
The older stopped in his track, the clothes falling from his hands but not bothering to gather them. He turned to look at Kazuya and when their eyes met, Jin started to feel the anger consuming him. “Why?” he simply asked with a cold voice. And why indeed. Didn’t Kazuya give up at the idea of working? He wanted another accident like that to happen?!
Kazuya knew what Jin was thinking, he had foreseen such a reaction. “Because I want to be closer to you, I want to understand you better.” He replied calmly as if he was trying to convince a teacher of his opinion. “And this way you can be there for me if I have trouble. It’s a win-win situation, Jin, and I’ve been thinking about it for a while.”
Jin scoffed, completely forgetting about his clothes and coming back to bed. Yeah, like that would be the perfect solution. Protect the sheep by throwing it in the lion’s cage. “You can’t.” he just said, his eyes still staring into Kazuya’s brown orbs. “I won’t allow you.”
Kazuya’s gaze hardened. “Then do you want me to work in another place and have another incident like that happen?” He asked as calmly as before, though you could feel that there was a strain to his voice.
“Actually, I don’t want you to work at all.” Jin confessed and rolled his eyes as if it should have been obvious. “What’s the harm if you stay at home and wait for me? We’re spending a lot of time together this way and we’re both enjoying it, right?” he asked, thinking that Kazuya hadn’t gone to his apartment since the incident with Hiroki even on the nights that Jin hadn’t had time even to come back at home.
Kazuya’s forehead creased into a frown. “I didn’t know you wanted a wife.” He said ironically, crossing his arms. Obviously, Jin had touched a sensitive cord. “And I most certainly am not the type of person to stay at home waiting for someone. Or do I seem like this?” He arched an eyebrow sarcastically.
“I didn’t say that you have to stay at home the whole time.” Jin defended himself. “You can go out or make some friends or join a club.” He continued, though he had no idea what he was talking about. “You can do a lot of other things that wouldn’t put you in danger.” Jin added, almost with a pleading voice.
Kazuya snorted. “Join a club? What are you, a high scholar?” He rolled his eyes, obviously not pleased with Jin’s suggestions. “And what makes you think that if I go out and make new friends, those friends won’t turn to be the same as Hiroki? Or someone stumbles upon me and then stalks me back home?” He asked while still frowning. “If I’m with you, working with you, I am safe, right? You can watch over me and this way I can get to work and be with you in the same time.”
“You won’t be safe, Kazuya.” Jin whined, thinking that he won’t be able to protect the younger if he happened to leave him alone for more than one second. The others would jump on him and, unfortunately, there was a limit of heads that Jin could cut because of Kazuya. And the ones who worked for him weren’t exactly an option. “It’s dangerous working with me and it’s illegal and I don’t want you to do stuff like that.” He explained, hoping that Kazuya will understand that he was refusing for his own good.
“If you don’t want me to do illegal stuff, then you don’t do it either.” Kazuya said immediately, stubbornness written on his face. “And then we could start over everything.” He added, hope transpiring from his words.
“We’ve had this conversation already, Kazuya.” Jin stated with a tired sigh as he settled better in bed and lied down. “I can’t quit what I’m doing because we’d starve to death. I don’t know to do anything else and besides, I’m really good at what I do.” He said, trying to remind the younger that he had gotten at this stage with his own strength.
“Then let me work with you. I can do anything, I’ll do anything.” Kazuya replied immediately as when he had proposed Jin to leave the illegal world. After all, he had been rehearsing this conversation for a few days already. He had known from the beginning that Jin was going to oppose to the idea of having Kazuya work with him. But what Jin didn’t know was the fact that Kazuya was determined to do this and nothing could stop him. It was a goal he had set for himself and he’ll have it reached.
“There’s nothing you can do, Kazuya.” Jin growled angry and sat up again, ruffling his hair in annoyance. “You remember what I do, right?” he continued and didn’t wait for an answer to continue. “I deal with drugs and I’m not going to let you anywhere near them.” He said with a tone that clearly said that this conversation was finished.
Kazuya stood up as well. “Fine, then I’ll search for another place to work.” He replied defiantly. If Jin wasn’t going to let him work with him, then Kazuya would force him.
Jin groaned. “If you really want to work, then I’ll find you a job.” He finally seemed to agree, thinking that he should be able to think of a place that could keep Kazuya protected and far away from anything dangerous.
“I will only accept working with you or finding work by myself.” Kazuya replied stubbornly. “I want to understand you better, Jin!” He added with a half whining, half angered tone.
“And what can you understand if you work with me?” Jin asked, not really getting what was the problem here and why didn’t Kazuya want to give up at this issue.
“The you I don’t see when you’re not with me.” Kazuya replied quietly. “You know everything about me, about my life. I only know you when you’re with me. That’s why, even if it’s scary, even if it’s dangerous, I want to know more and see the you without me.” He added, staring straight at Jin, his body all tensed as if it had taken him a lot to say all of this. And it had… he hadn’t been this honest for a long time.
Jin sighed again and raised his hands to bring the younger closer, hugging him and placing a sweet kiss on the back of his ear. “Look, you’re not going to be very thrilled about this.” He said tiredly and his voice betrayed the fact that he was beginning to change his mind. “And while I’ll be able to protect you from someone attacking you, I can’t help you with what you’d see if you do this.” He said with a small and gentle voice, as if he wanted only Kazuya to hear his words.
“I know that there won’t be classy lads and lasses.” Kazuya replied, his voice half amused, half serious. “I know what your world means and if by seeing it, I’ll be able to get stronger and stand by your side then I’ll do it.” He continued, looking at Jin carefully. “And you said I need to get stronger.” Kazuya said and his words had a reproachful edge to them.
“I did say that.” Jin sighed for the nth time, looking defeated as he let his head fall on the younger’s shoulder. He had to admit that it wasn’t such a bad idea, especially because this meant that he was going to spend even more time with Kazuya and see more of the younger. They were going to be together every minute of their life and Jin couldn’t help but be overjoyed that Kazuya wanted this and had been the one to propose it. But… it seemed too dangerous. One single mistake and his lover would meet his end if Jin wasn’t careful enough. He would have to pay attention at every move of his and keep him away from drugs. And even if most of people who worked with Jin were too afraid of him to do something, he couldn’t say the same thing for all of them. This meant that Kazuya needed to learn to defend himself too, to be able to protect himself from possible attackers.
“But there are going to be rules and if you break even one, all of this is over and you won’t have another chance.” The older warned Kazuya, his voice sounding a little pleading as he parted from the boy to look into his eyes and assure himself that he wasn’t lied to.
Somehow, this whole thing seemed to be a big mistake to Jin.
But Kazuya didn’t need anything but his lover’s approval so his face broke into a broad smile as he hugged Jin happily. “Thank you!!” he chirped and began to hop up and down. “Hooray~” He laughed and his hug got tighter.
Jin couldn’t help a smile from appearing on his face, happy that he was the one to make Kazuya smile like that. He still had his doubts about the whole thing, but he couldn’t do anything but trust Kazuya and help him as much as he could.
And hope that there won’t be any problems.
*
We all have hope; hope for a better future, hope for tomorrow, hope that we’ll wake up someday and realize that everything had been a bad dream and we still have our life to amend out mistakes and be careful to not make them again. Maybe it’s childish, but even if we’re over fifty we think that there might be a chance and things will change, they will get better and we’ll finally learn that life can indeed be lived happily.
Sometimes we have the chance and we blow it up because we don’t know what to do with it. Other times, we can’t help but accept our cruel fate and realize that this is us and we can’t become a different person over night.
If someone would ask which one of these conclusions is the worst, what would be the best answer?
Jin still wasn’t sure of his decision even now as he was driving towards work with Kazuya as a passenger on the back of his motorcycle. He was still feeling like he had done a mistake but he couldn’t bring himself to say anything about this because as soon as he would start, Kazuya would smile happily and say how glad he was that they were going to spend more time together. He had only managed to forbid Kazuya of wandering off without him or Yamapi - he hadn’t been able to convince Ryo too to take care of Kazuya but Jin knew he could count on him too - and tell him that he shouldn’t get close to some of them.
He sighed as he killed the engine and took off his helmet, looking at the building in front of them. They had rented the place for other purposes but it had ended up as a base for their planning and stuff like that, being used mostly as Jin’s space of hanging out. The timing wasn’t good either because he needed to go and meet someone that Jin was sure he didn’t want anywhere near Kazuya. Things were going to be a little dangerous and the older was aware of the fact that he’ll need a lot of arguing to convince Kazuya that it’d be best if he didn’t come anymore.
“We’re here.” He said a little awkwardly as he tucked Kazuya’s hand into his and leaded him to the entrance. This was going to be a long day, Jin thought as he ignored the looks from the ones surrounding them and headed straight to the elevator, stopping at the second and also the last floor.
“You’re late.” Yamapi scolded him as soon as Jin opened the door to his office at which Jin only rolled his eyes.
“You remember Kazuya.” The older said, pushing the boy in front of him to let Pi take a good look at him. The other one just smiled politely at Kazuya and nodded his head in recognition.
Kazuya nodded back, looking suddenly nervous and fidgeting. “I’m in your care from today onwards.” He said and bowed a bit, wanting to erase the fact that he and Yamapi had met before and… erm, in different circumstances.
“Nice to have you here.” Pi said back with a smirk on his lips, looking like he was eating Kazuya with his eyes from head to toes. So Jin hit him. “What did I do?!” he complained with a whiny voice. “You said that I can’t touch him, not that I can’t even look at him.” He protested annoyed, sulking and crossing his arms.
“Don’t look at him like that.” Jin warned him though his voice sounded gentle rather than rough.
“Like what?” Yamapi replied with an innocent expression.
Jin hit him again. Pi looked with hurt puppy eyes at him. Jin sighed. Kazuya laughed.
“What did you want to talk with me?” Jin asked, wanting to pass over this moment and head to serious business as he took a seat at the office, Yamapi still standing in front of him. But something didn’t seem right and when he looked up, he saw Kazuya on the same spot as when they had entered the room. “Come here.” Jin called him, stretching his hand towards the younger, a mischievous smirk plastered on his face.
Kazuya bit on his lip and joined Jin, grabbing onto his hand. He was feeling a bit restless being here and everything was different than he had imagined. Although at first he had imagined that everyone was looking like those thugs from dramas, it turned out completely different. There had been people in suits too and for as far as he’d seen, there were rooms set up like offices too. Where he was now, it most certainly looked an office and he hadn’t imagined Jin sitting in an office at all. It was kind of confusing and interesting in the same time. He was dying to see more, but for now he was keeping quiet and attentive at whatever Jin had to talk about with Yamapi.
“Don’t stay there.” Jin said as his smirk widened and he pulled on Kazuya’s hand, making him land on his lap. “Now that’s better, don’t you think?” he asked with a low voice, circling his arms around Kazuya’s waist and pulling him even closer.
Kazuya glared at Jin with a shy and blushing expression on his face. He found Jin’s foot and stomped a bit on it, just to show how he truly felt about this. “Yeah, it’s comfy.” He replied and pressed a bit more on Jin’s foot.
Jin yelped and narrowed his eyes at Kazuya. “But it is!” the words came out as sounding more needy than upset as the older looked at his lover with a big pout on his lips and an incredulous expression.
“Can I please say what I have to say so that I can leave from here?” Yamapi interfered, making Jin snort but he still settled down to listen to him, Kazuya doing the same thing. “Nakamura called, he wants the deal done today and he wants you.”
“That son of a bitch again?” the older asked as he rested his chin on Kazuya’s shoulder. “I thought I told him I won’t give him anything without money and I want it before giving him anything.” He added, his hands searching for the younger’s and entwining them on Kazuya’s lap.
“He says he has the money.” Pi shrugged. “He wants to meet with you in half on hour.”
Jin sighed and his hold tightened on Kazuya. “Okay, I’ll go but take care of Kazuya in the meantime.” He said, leaning even closer to his lover and nibbling a little on his ear before pulling back and kissing his cheek.
Kazuya looked a bit confused at first as he glanced back and forth from Pi to Jin. “Can’t I go with you?” he asked with an insecure voice. It wasn’t like he didn’t want to stay behind with Pi, it was more like he had wanted Jin to be with him on his first day. He couldn’t observe Jin if the older one wasn’t there, could he?!
“No, not this time.” Jin replied as gently as he could, trying not to sound too bossy or demanding. While it was true that he had accepted Kazuya to work with him, he also didn’t have any intention to let him in too much, preferring to keep him away from the illegal deals and transactions that were going on. It was for Kazuya’s sake and Jin was sure that nothing good could come if he brought the younger with him. So he smiled in consolation and nudged Kazuya a bit, trying to make him get up so that he could go too.
Kazuya looked like he wanted to say something else, but pursed his lips and stood up, now standing beside Jin. It was clear that he did want to go with the older, but in the same time, he was suppressing himself. “And will my job be here?” Kazuya asked, side-glancing at Pi.
“You’ll keep him company,” Jin said, pointing with his head at his friend as he raised himself, pecking Kazuya’s lips, “and Pi will explain you what you can help him with.” He added, trying to make the younger be a little more understanding. He couldn’t just send Kazuya to deal with the drug addicts or something like that and he most certainly couldn’t give him the authority to seal deals in his place or to even search for ones. Beside this… there wasn’t much that could be done. “I’ll try to finish quickly and be back in a flash, okay?” he beamed at Kazuya, trying to be supportive of his decision but knowing that it was obvious how against he was.
Kazuya wanted to say that if he wanted to keep someone company, he would have chosen to be an escort, but he bit back his words and simply nodded at Jin and Pi. “I understand. I’ll be waiting then.” He said and smiled a bit. He’ll just have to find out about Jin from his friends.
“Good boy.” Jin smiled and kissed Kazuya’s forehead gently. “I love you.” He added as he detached himself from his lover and flashed him another smile, heading to the door and not forgetting to remind Pi to take care of him.
Kazuya looked after Jin and there was a slight frown on his forehead. But he sighed and turned to Yamapi, his mind all set. “So… what do I have to do?” he asked with an anxious tone, as if this was the job of his dreams - to assist Pi in what he was doing!
“No idea.” The other shrugged and headed to the office, taking Jin’s place and settling his feet on top of the desk. “Personally, I’d like to relax.” He added and yawned as if he was dead tired. “But you can entertain me if you want to.” Pi continued with a small smirk on his lips, his intentions obvious and clear like the sky.
Kazuya arched an eyebrow, mocking and ironic words on the tip of his tongue. But he swallowed them and showed an impassive mask as if Pi’s attitude was not affecting him at all. “I’m sorry, but I’m no good at entertaining.” He replied and his eyes had a weird licker for a moment. “But I’m sure that there’s something else I can be of use.” He added, hoping that he was polite enough not to make Pi’s hair curl up on his neck.
The other one sighed. “Kamenashi, you’re a smart kid, I guess you already know there’s nothing much you can help with around here.” He said, looking at Kazuya with a pitiful gaze, like he was sorry for him for having been dragged into this. “I’m sure you know Jin said you can work with us to please you, but he doesn’t have any intention to actually let you do something.” Pi continued, settling more comfortably on Jin’s chair and taking a pair of glasses from the desk, playing with them before finally putting them on.
Kazuya’s eyes narrowed at Pi. He had had a hunch that Jin wouldn’t let him do anything in the end, but he hadn’t expected that Pi would be this honest with him. He pondered a bit on his idea - he could be honest with Pi too, then. “I see. Then, since I’ll be bored out of my wits, tell me… how you and Jin met.” He shrugged as if he was ready to hear some tear-jerking friendship tale.
Pi cocked an inquiring eyebrow, looking at the younger as if he had grown two heads. “And why do you want to know that?” he asked, sounding genuinely curious. “And don’t tell me it’s because you want to listen to my beautiful voice!” he added with a loud voice, gaping and covering his mouth with an exaggerated move.
Kazuya chuckled. “Oh yeah, I fell for your voice.” He smirked and pretended to be touched by Cupid’s arrow. “Of course that’s not it.” He then added quickly, ruffling his head. “I just want to know. If I’m going to stay with you here, boring ourselves to death, we can at least talk. And our common subject is Jin, so…” Kazuya smiled brightly.
“Oh, don’t worry, I would be delighted to hear more about you.” Pi smiled widely, his eyes glowing with mischief. “After all, Jin hadn’t really told me that much about you and I’d love to know you better.” He added with an angel-like expression and devilish eyes.
Kazuya arched an eyebrow. Okay, he could do this - sell something about him in exchange for something about his lover. “Sure.” He agreed with a grin. “I ask a question about Jin and you ask a question about me. We have to answer nonetheless, no exceptions.” He proposed, knowing that he might have just dug his grave.
“And it’s the same for you too.” Pi replied with a smirk and didn’t wait for an invitation to place his question. “What’s your favorite sex position?” he asked with an innocent expression and blinking eyes.
Kazuya looked taken aback and kind of perplexed at this kind of question. “I didn’t think you wanted to know this kind of information.” He remarked with a sigh. “I don’t know, I haven’t really thought about any particular sex position… I like to try everything new.” He replied then with a cute smile. “Now me. How did you and Jin meet?” Kazuya asked immediately, not wasting his time.
Pi groaned, obviously not satisfied with this kind of answer. “We met when we were children and he sort of knew my father so we also met at some point.” He said, sounding like he didn’t want to remember that part of his life. It didn’t last long before the smirk reappeared on his face. “Did Jin ever bottom for you?” he demanded to know, now with a sly grin on his face as he was already thinking at ways to tease and make Jin’s life a living hell.
So Jin and Pi were something what you’d call childhood friends, Kazuya mused, thinking that Pi was a treasure. He’d be the one to know the most about Jin and he wasn’t going to waste this chance. He looked at the other and frowned. “No, he didn’t.” he replied shortly, thinking that he had never thought of this option. Maybe he should try it sometimes, but later, now he had to think of questions. “So, your father and Jin were friends?” he asked looking curious.
“Yes.” The other one replied with a short answer, the perverted smile not disappearing from his face this time. “What’s your sensitive spot?” he continued with a question of his own.
Kazuya sighed. He had to get used to Pi’s intrusive questions. “I guess that’d be neck or legs.” He answered, passing a hand over his neck absentmindedly. “So, your father knows what Jin deals with?” he asked, a bit curious about Jin and Pi’s father’s relationship.
“My father is already dead.” Pi said with a laid-back attitude, crossing his arms behind his head and prompting it on them. “Jin did me a favor and killed him.” He then added as if this was a normal thing to happen and then asked his question, before Kazuya had the chance to say anything. “Your kinks, please.” He singsanged with a cheerful voice.
His father was dead?! Jin had killed him?! Kazuya was a bit shocked, but he didn’t show anything, maybe just a bit as his eyes had widened in surprise. He swallowed the avalanche of questions and tried to concentrate on Pi’s question. “My kinks?” He seemed thoughtful and bit his lower lip. “I guess I like bondage. Be it on me or on the other person. I also like it public, it makes things more exhilarating.” Kazuya replied, a certain memory crawling in his mind. “Why did Jin kill your father?” He asked, shaking his head a little as if to make that moment with Jin disappear from his head.
Pi sighed in defeat, realizing that Kazuya was going to keep going at it until he would find out everything he wanted. “Why do you want to know these things about Jin?” he asked back, ignoring their agreement for the moment but still waiting for an honest answer from Kazuya if the younger wanted to continue this exchange of theirs.
Kazuya looked a bit surprised and the fact that Pi didn’t want to answer his question but chose to ask another one had his interest more than perked up. “Because I want to know Jin without me.” He replied simply as if this was the most normal and logical thing. And in Kazuya’s mind it was.
Pi groaned. “It won’t do you any good.” He said, for once trying to give an advice to Kazuya. “The world Jin lives into is too different from the one you know. It would crush you in a second so listen to me and give up while you still have the chance.” He continued, standing up from his chair and walking towards Kazuya as the words slipped from his mouth.
Kazuya raised his chin defiantly and stared back at Pi. “If it will crash me, then I’ll stand up again.” He replied, not hesitating at all in his sayings. “If I can’t bring Jin into my world, then I’ll come to his.” He added with a determined and secure voice.
Pi sighed again. “Sit down then and I’ll tell you a little story.” He said as he took a seat on the couch and invited Kazuya to join him. “And then you’ll know that you can’t.”
