You thought correctly. She is my ex, and remains my ex to this day, and barring some kind of horrible crippling insanity on my part, will remain my ex until the end of time.

She is, however, coming around to the fact that there is probably no one on the planet earth who will love her like I did, or treat her so well.

They key factor is "love her like I did." I love her to this day, but not like I did then. She blew her chance, more than once, and I'm all out of forgiveness.

But I'm sure not above gloating about it :D
