banned books

List of the top 110 banned books (of all time). Bold the ones you've read. italicize the ones you've read part of. Underline the ones you specifically want to read (at least some of). Read more. Convince others to read some.

**I don't feel like underlining the ones I want to read, because that would take a while.**

#1 The Bible
#2 Huckleberry Finn ( Read more... )

what i want to know is, who exactly bans books? #60, the bluest eye by toni morrison... that book won awards and isn't even that old-who banned it? i guess i didn't realize book-banning was still going on.

on a completely different note, guess who i saw yesterday?!?!? my bus boyfriend! the one with the baby!!! remember him? i was walking towards down the street from edeka, and he was walking up the other side (richtung edeka) (with the baby in the stroller)... and then... he WAVED AT ME!!!!!!!!! so i smiled and waved back, all the while thinking "holy crap, did that just happen?!?!?" i haven't seen him in a long time and then suddenly, there he is, waving at me. swoon ;)

libraries. like, city or school libraries can ban books. it doesnt have to be a country or state or even city-wide thing. it could jsut happen in a lot of individual schools and stuff. though some of the ones on that list.....james and the giant peach??? what??
