dude, if you had one thing to rant about, i wouldnt think itd be the grocery stores. i cant wait to get back and shop and find even the most inane things. thats so not possible. i dont know what stores you were shopping in, but theres very very very little selection at all. sure, you can find stuff....sometimes, as long as its normal, but you do that at the cost of being able to find anything.
but its so big an wasteful here. i mean, i never really had a problem finding what i needed, if i needed some inane thing there was one place in town that would have everything, and yet it was still smaller then meijers or places like that. i mean, i can get pasta, spice, tomatos, chicken, brats, and actually in the little hole in the wall edika i went to they had more frozen dinners that were quality then meijers does. the difference is edika has 4 of one type of frozen dinner or total 20 cans of tomatos and 12 boxes of noodles where meijers has 300 of the same frozen dinner, 400 cans of tomatos and a full isle of elbow macaroni. i dont like that. i want to get my meat from a butcher, not from an isal that 400 feet long. i dont want to have to walk down isals that are bigger then entire grocery stores that i have been in. its wasteful. and the size of the food. litterly a bell pepper the size of my head. its not natural, peppers dont grow that big. ive only seen it here. i dont want food that so hopped up on steroids and other
( ... )
i guess this is jsut another example of the fact that ive pretty much been through this before. the culture shock doesnt really exist for me. while i was home for easter, the only thing i found funny was quarters. i mean, come on, 25 cents?? but i remember that when i came home from frankfurt, i thought the same thing. approximately.
but getting pissed about it isnt gonna do anything... or?
