Man, I knew you'd ask the hard one. Um -- Mulcahy accepted, pretty easily, that -- he doesn't quite know who Aslan is, but he accepted that he's Somebody. Maybe a lion isn't the typical image of God in Mulcahy's world, but that isn't to say he isn't Him or he can't be Him.

So -- he loves him, he is in utter awe of him, and he is a little afraid of him. Mulcahy's God is a kind God (to him, I mean; he is not an Old Testament kind of a guy), but there is always something a little frightening about the Supreme Being, you know? He's a scary dude. Also, this particular incarnation happens to be a Lion, which -- as sweet and kind and generous as he is; as gentle and wise -- could rip your throat out with one easy wave of a paw. But the overall feelings are love and awe, and maybe a little bit 'I'm not worthy.' For all that time he spends praying, he never really thought he'd come face-to-face with any incarnation of God, you know? At least, not while he was living.

Ajedrez and Plour!

HMM OKAY SO.

They started off a little funky, because Plourr was like, '--Who is this "Beatriz" and why is my husband talking about her all the time,' and then they met, and the thought was, '...O-kay, Beatriz is hot,' and while she trusts Rial implicitly -- she's a woman of strong passions. She's also a woman who knows how to register threats, and Ajedrez definitely was one. That is to say -- here was a woman who could do much damage, if she wished to, and Plourr had to get to know her before she could say whether or not she would act on her strength and her wits and that danger. Plourr is still (and was even more so, back when they met) very suspicious, when the mood strikes her
