Yesterday I took my first sick day of 6th form. Yes, I had managed a full term with only 1 late and otherwise full attendance. I'm very proud, as usually I have close to 70% attendance by the end of the year, which is not at all good enough. Though still suffering this bug, I can say that I am happy to have hung on quite so long, as it has been ( Read more... )

Ah, so it seems that life is a bit dull for you right now. If it's any solace, though, things aren't that different on the other side of Europe. School is a bummer for me and I dread winter. It was unusually warm today, so much that it reminded me of June, but they say it's gonna get a whole lot colder tomorrow.

By the way, I really love the picture of France and England called 'Rivals' that you drew. Very cool.

Hopefully, you'll get better soon and will be all good and dandy by Monday. ♥

I'd rather it dull than hectic, I suppose.
I hate the winter. It's so depressing. It's only 5:45 PM and it's pitch black outside (well, as pitch black as it can be what with the town's light pollution >C ) I also hate the cold. We're lighting a fire tonight...
It was very mild on Thursday. Very windy, too, but I went out to shut in the chickens in my pyjamas at a late time and it was gorgeously warm!
I hope it doesn't get too cold for you. I honestly don't know how you can stand such cold weather in your part of the world. Here is there's 3 inches of snow the country shuts down for a week!

Ahhhh thank you! /totally not moved to tears by that compliment

I hope so, too, thank you for the well wishes.

Truer words have never been spoken, my dear. For me, hectic is very bad indeed.
Yeah, it's pitch black in the morning and pitch black in the afternoon and the only time when there's light outside is when I'm in school inside. I always feel a bit more homely and cosy when it's winter, but I still don't like that I'm always cold. Always ( ... )

I have not been to school all too recently, so I have yet to experience the lack of light in my free-time, but I know that when I reach it I will not be happy. I hate it when it's dark unless I am out, in the car, warm and watching the lights go by. I wish I could say things were cosier around winter, but for me days just seem a little more clustered and cold.
Such a shame! We have an open fireplace and a gas one. The gas is the one we (quite illegally) light usually as it is quicker, however the smaller open fireplace is also built. Coal prices are always on the rise though, so it's sparingly used. I hope that, even without a fire, you will be warm enough ( ... )
