They're sending me home with steroids, theorizing that it's some sort of allergic reaction and not an infection at all, and doing one of those apple-corer biopsies. I hope they're right, because if they're not i'll have to be back here in a day. If they are, though, I can go back to practice and work

More the latter. When a day, started by one group, celebrates friendship with another group that the first group subsequently slaughtered in the tens of millions, and the survivors live in terrible poverty, food turns sour in my mouth.
