Brand New Colony

I don't have a gigantic posse or stay with a particular group (or my orientation group, for that matter, but mostly because I'm late to when they meet or something), but I know I will continue to make friends and I love this place already. I'm excited about my classes, scared of putting myself out there to befriend people (something I haven't REALLY done since I was 12 years old), my slightly quiet(er) dorm, my single room. I love the way the place looks, that I have to actually walk more than 10 feet to get anywhere, how I now sort of know where I'm going, and even the weird freshman dining hall place that's ON TOP OF A HILL (having to climb to the top of a hill just to eat is something new and different for me) where they play "Roxanne" and Robert Palmer.
We did course registration today and my courses are effin awesome and well balanced in terms of time. I'm taking the following:
-Intermediate Spanish II
-Descriptive Astronomy
-International Politics
-Three Great Myths: Prometheus, Persephone, and Dionysus
I have an idea. I really want to know about other people's schools (college or life at NHSN/S or whatever you happen to be doing now) and I definitely want to show you guys stuff, too. My friend Toni (girl) has a digital camera (unlike me, the Cro Magnon living in the Dark Ages... wait that didnt make sense IGNORE) and so if we ever actually get around to it, we were just going to take pictures of random stuff that we like here at Wes (not dumb shit like HEY THIS IS WHERE I EAT LOOK AT MY CLOSET I HAVE POST IT NOTES IN 5 COLORS) and maybe post it online. There's one picture so far, but i'm far too lazy to do it now. So basically, I think it'd be something entertaining/random to look at on LJ besides... words?, and if anyone else gets around to it I'll give them a cookie.
My posters came in the mail today. I was so excited to see Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Frusciante, the other guy, Harold, Kumar, the White Castle logo, and the Ska is Dead tour thing ALL IN ONE POSTER TUBE.
Ok I think i'm going to some event at the athletic center. fun? maybe not? I'll find out, I suppose.
