I don't think taking a nap would help your nighttime sleeping habits, but you might want to try to fit one in during the day. My philosophy is that if I have to get up before 8:00 in the morning, that's a day when I'm going to need a nap.
The only other things I can think of are if you're drinking more caffeine than usual, or if you're sick and taking allergy medication (because Claritin makes me spacey, and once when I took it at night I woke up five times because my brain wouldn't shut off). I'm out of theories past that. :)
