The tasting party was great. We had a great crowd, who descended on the food like a plague of locusts. There was practically nothing left at the end of the night. I think we raised some decent funds, too

I respectfully disagree. Pigs in a blanket are good because of fat, salt, and dippin' sauce, all elements that can be found in the fakey version. While I did not receive effusive compliments the night of, as I did for the seaweed salad, I did get one post-party compliment, and the massive quantity I made did get eaten up. Anyway, I doubt they'll be a cafe staple. They need to be hot or at least warm to be their most delicious, and I don't know that we can make that work.

Btw - the only reason pigs in a blanket are good...pig. One of those things it's better off making Asparagus + goat cheese in a blanket instead of.
