How do you think we should pray? Should we pray huge prayers that we could never do the kind only God can do? Or should we only pray prayers that we intend to do something about? If we pray huge then I am not sure that the sang "prayer without action is usless" is true. I dont know. What do you guys think?

i think that God truely does listen to and honor to some degree all the prayers His children bring before Him...even if those children don't follow up their talk with some walk...i can definately remember some prayers that i kind of lost faith in but God answered anyway...but that is not saying that God will always honor "empty" prayers...He will not answer if He knows that we truely arn't going to put "our money where our mouth is" ya i'm sure that makes no sense...wish i could put my thoughts into words better...

I think the whole notion of "prayer without action is useless" is rediculous. One main reason we come to God in prayer is because we realize that we cannot do something on our own and we desperatly need God's heavenly intervention. If this song were to be true, then our prayers for a healing would be in vain becasue only God can move in those prayers. There are simply many things that we, as human beings, cannot do that He, which is why it's amazing that He loves us so much! :-)

Not a problem! Just thought I'd throw that out there. But of course you do realize that there are many prayers that do require you to act on. Things like: better grades in school, getting a job, feeding the homeless, getting money, and many others. But there definitly are many things that we are completely unable to do that we need His help and guidance on. Good thing we have Him as such a pivotal resource!!
