Winston Churchill's A History of the English-Speaking People: Again, Volume I, The Birth of Britain. This one, I see equal numbers of abridgements and full versions. Won a Nobel Prize. For all the Anglophiles on my f-list, but elspethdixon in particular

I'll have to check that one out, once I finish the history of the middle east I'm reading for my english-thesis-novel. I've read two volumes of Churchill's autobiography, and they were pretty readable and entertaining ^_^.

Go, ye. But so many classes are most definitely evil. Most definitely.

After flipping through Churchill's history of WWII once, I'm terrfied of any book with his name on it. Am not at all surprised by the abridgements. It's a sanity-saving measure.

The Second World War. Six pages; racks up to nearly 4000 pages. They're absolutely fascinating, and not dense and incomprehensible in the way that Civil War stuff of that length tends to be (see: anything by Shelby Foote. You don't read things by Shelby Foote if you don't want your brain to explode). But it's just so... so... big. And intimidating. Because it's Churchill. Which makes it incredibly awesome, too, but. Scary.

Six volumes, not six pages. Silly head.

Yeah, I finally got to read A Change of Regime and half way through I was like "Wait... Damn it!"

Maybe something with Peter and Zosia a couple years after they've been working with Ryzard or something. JN Stroyar did a pretty good job not leaving any loose ends.

Heehee. Okay.

Currently, I'm working on a speech for Peter and something for HP. Maybe after that?

Yeah, no problem! Take your time, I'd feel bad if you went out of your way. :D
