Hi. My daughter figmentj created this Livejournal as a link to my future, which now looks more promising than it has in the last 10 years! Come with me and be my friend.

One thing I have learned in 57 years is you can never have enough friends.

I will begin this journey by journaling about my newest adventure called gastric bypass surgery. Anyone ( Read more... )

Welcome to LJ-land!

Sadly, I don't think this Caylee Anthony story is going to get any better. The whole thing is just awful.

Thanks for the welcome! I agree with you about Caylee's
future. Personally I think she may have drowned in the grandparents pool, Casey panicked, hauled her precious body off & is a pathological liar sick-o who will go to a special place for those types. Sorry, I just feel very passionately
about children & their protection.

Thank You! I can understand your concern especially with the problems your wife had. This Dr. I'm going to puts you through every specialist there is which I will elaborate on later but suffice it to say this procedure is a life changing event. But it is one that I'm really looking forward to. I've been working on this for the last 5 months. I'm diabetic & have other health issues that I won't have to deal with.

Wow! You are right, I did ask. I am grateful for all of the info. I would be curious as to how you came to be so knowledgeable. I feel like I should pay you a "co-pay" for a 2nd opinion. Thanks very much.
p.s.
as far as the other addictions go,I never was a real drinker (despite what you might hear from my daughter re: butterscotch schnapps) and having been divorced for 13 yrs. sex has not been a real current event in my life but I'm certainly not opposed to a new addiction in which you can burn up calories!

I would be curious as to how you came to be so knowledgeable.
I have had several friends go through that surgery and have known about 5 other people. None had stellar results. Plus, I really enjoy researching stuff.

I'm certainly not opposed to a new addiction in which you can burn up calories!
In my younger days I was addicted to dancing. I would go out dancing 4 times a week and would travel up to 1 1/2 hours one way to go to a dance. I was quite the dance gypsy and boy was I in shape back then. It was tremendous fun.

Boy! do you know what you are talking about- that being dancing! I used to dance, in general & went to ballroom dancing lessons & won some competitions in Latin dances& some in Swing. I had a ball & I suppose that's why I love Dancing With The Stars! After 8 back surgeries the bod just doesn't do what I want it to. I would love to lose all of the weight & be able to do it again- on any level. I pray I can. Thanks for your interest.

Hiya! It is nice to see an inaugural post : ) I think that's a first for me. I've been LJ-ing since March. I like it more than I expected, and it brings a lot to my world.
I went ahead and friended you, and I'm looking forward to 'your journey'.

The only woman I know who has had gastric bypass surgery considers it a success, and does not regret it. I know she is careful these days with her meal planning, so she stays feeling well.

: )

Hi, I love your username. Gastric bypass...I don't know what to tell you. I only know of one person who's had it and his eating habits are still atrocious and he's on a million different medications also. So while he is eating less and did lose the weight, the quality of what he's eating is junk. I guess you still need to recondition your mind after the surgery to make correct and beneficial food choices. It's a mind/body thing, I would assume. Good luck with your surgery. :)
