1. There's a line between any digits that differ by 2 or 1. Or maybe there is definitely a line between digits that differ by 1, there might be a line between digits that differ by 2, and there is definitely not a line between digits that differ by 3 or more.
2. Use a 16x16 grid instead of 9x9
I'm not sure I'd want to solve a 16x16 though...

I've been trying to make another one, but without the non-consecutive requirement for cells without a line between them. I'm having much more success creating valid puzzles, but none of the loops have been very interesting for a Masyu. Also, I worry about the mindset shift to solve the consecutive Sudoku with half the constraints missing.
