colitis is a pretty spectrum diagnosis...any specifics? Crohn's disease? IBS? (there's a history of digestive ailments on my mother's side of the family)

well, it was a specific kind of colitis, but honestly i can't remember what he called it. essentially, though, i am becoming allergic to sugars, which is, you know, a bummer. the doctor felt around all my belly-area internal organs, and i suddenly realized how sore and swollen they all were ("there's your gall bladder i'm not supposed to be able to feel," he said). also, there's something about my red blood cells not all being uniform sized, and some huge colon related problem it causes. it all made so much sense when he explained it to me - i should have taken notes. seriously
