I just finished reading the article - holy shnikes!

The researchers make a good point about changing the nature of culpability, but that is probably the best point to make if you want your work completely ignored. Don't tell the government that by failing to make hot lunch programs and other school meals healthful that the criminals are not responsible for their behavior. I happen to think that it is an accurate statement, but it's a battle best not fought.

Better instead to phrase it like this, "giving young children healthy food teaches them to be better citizens." Or some bullshit like that. Whatever, the effect is the same. Discussing the issue of who is culpable will only result in building more prisons. Oh, hey hang on, gotta go, Machiavelli is calling me.
