Well, I realized Lars is a Daniel type. I tried it with Rodney and John, but that doesn't work at all, which is interesting.

Hmm... works really well, though. Probably cos Jack not being able to give up control easily is a no-brainer. Brian didn't come across to me as that very strong alpha male that Jack personifies. The whole 'this is *really* gay' thing does come across really well in both Jack and Brian's thoughts.

Works in both incarnations, but I guess as I am deep in SG fic this one is extra good :))

Interesting, and probably right. Brian isn't a complete alpha male, but in the novel we don't see that side of him. He thinks too much to be the full alpha type. However, control is very important to Brian, since he had to school himself so hard all those closeted years.

I didn't get comment notifications for a long time, and randomly found this. Thank you for writing it, and your analysis of the changes is very interesting. When I was re-reading it, I realized I'd left the hand size as Lars's, and thought that yes, Daniel's are more blunt. Intimidating is a good word.
