1. Nothing in the Mitchell report surprised me. I was more surprised by who didn't get named--no one in particular, just that there weren't even more.
   
2. Sunday.
   
3. Movies, although I like theater a lot. There's just fewer explosions in theater.
   
4. Drove to our condo on the Cape, drank three manhattans and watched Dr. Who.
   
5. Favorite? There is nothing about stupidity that I like. Okay, how about this: There is such a thing as a stupid question. A stupid question is the one you've asked for the third time, hoping the answer will change.
   
6. My first words would be, "Oh, crap."
   
7. Tough one. Maybe Ralph Nader, to see if he in fact believes the shit that comes out of his mouth.

ha, number 5 is completely accurate. i always wonder what possesses people to think that if they keep asking they will suddenly and magically get the answer they're looking for. and with regard to 7 - i saw a quote the other day, can't think from whom - some democratic consultant type - that said: "It's hard to believe, I know, but there is now an entire generation of 20- and 30-something Americans who don't know that Ralph Nader wasn't always a total asshole." which i think sums things up pretty effectively.

1. I like Canada. It's like the US, with sanity.
   
2. Um, whatever day it was we took it to winter quarters last fall.
   
3. Neither. I don't drink vodka. Martinis and tonic are mixed with gin in my universe. Vodka is for slavs, scandinavians, and sorority girls.

Apologies if I cast aspersions on your libation of choice. I've worked too much with laboratory grade ethanol to get the point of vodka other than as a direct route to intoxication. Am I missing something?
