[So much for staying indoors while his broken ribs heal. Since he's supposed to be taking it easy, Walter is taking a break from working on the SOS Brigade HQ (without telling the dumbass Haruki) to work on his poor, battered automaton. Being stuck at the bottom of Sho's junk structure didn't really help it out. At all ( Read more... )

[Welp, Leon's wandering around town, as he normally does 90% of the time, when he comes across Walter, messing with ... something. Wandering over to investigate now. He's trying to stay out of sight, though.]

[Huh. Looks like wire from some sort of instrument or something. Walter tosses the debris to the side, trying to fish out the other splinters of wood that managed to get stuck inside of it. It's a little awkward since he can't really lean into the automaton because of his ribs, but it shouldn't be too noticeable.]

[Leon's sorta noticing the awkward non-leaning, but he's not thinking too much of it at the moment. He's more or less trying to figure out what the hell it is Walter's working on at the moment.]

[The little robot buzzes quietly as it floats in place, though Walter ignores it as he continues trying to clean it out.]

[There's an unpleasant crash as Walter is startled by the shout, landing right on top of the brass-colored automaton. He doesn't move, his eyebrow twitching something fierce.]

[He slowly pushes himself up, hiding a wince as he acknowledges the blonde.]

...Hi Aegis.

[Definitely not a trickster, but there may be a slight situational resemblance. Walter carefully hammers at the insides of the mini sentinel, trying to get rid of dents from under-a-giant-junk-structure trauma.]

[Oh, hey. There's still some wood stuck in here. Let's just pull this out and chuck it over my shoulder.]

[Walter isn't in a very observant mindset right now, trying to get some stubborn scratches out of the shell. The automaton buzzes from time to time, but is ignored.]

[Musette can tell he isn't being observant, so she'll simply observe him for a time before making her presense known, to see that he doesn't "accidentally" strain something.]

[It would be an accident. He's sitting while he's working, see? See? No one trusts him to take care of himself. Hmph.

Walter looks away from the automaton, looking through the various little tools he has. He rubs at a piece of sandpaper before using it on the armor.]

[At least he's not doing something strenuous? Shirley's heading in the direction of the shops in order to pick up some baking supplies, when she spies Walter and his automaton.]

Hello, Walter... how are you feeling today? [The automaton interests her, but his health concerns her more.]

[Despite his injury and the ... awkwardness of doing so, Walter manages to do a slight bow from his seated position.]

I'm doing much better today, Merines. I appreciate your concern.

[Shirley shakes her head at the bow.] Please... don't worry about formalities right now. [She smiles.] But I'm glad to hear that you're feeling better.

Where did you find that? I didn't expect to see an automaton here, of all places...

[You know he's not going to give up the formalities, Shirley. You might as well tell him to go make out with Senel. Ain't gonna happen.] Of course. You and Madam Musette have been keeping me healthy.

[He glances down at the automaton.] It was-- er. I guess you could call it a present. Of sorts. From that scientist, John. He gave everyone a "present."
