I wonder how many people grew old and died in this place. How many people went from being children to adults to seniors. We know there were other people here before us, so... Maybe it's too early to be this cynical.

How many do you think? It also makes you wonder how long Luceti has been around.

Last I heard, those ruins out in the desert looked pretty old. So centuries of people could've lived their lives out there.

I guess not necessarily everyone disappeared from Luceti, and instead lived their lives out here.

Since some people randomly disappear from here, it's just as likely that some people never face that ... random effect.

And there are some who are having children here. What world would they go to? Luceti is their home world.

It likely is too early to be considering such things.

It may not be a completely though cynical to have though. If that thought bothers you, wouldn't it keep you trying to strive towards getting back to your home? If you even want that, I'm not so sure...I may not even still live in my world...

Believe me, it's cynicism. If you're running on good feelings in a place like this, you have to be delusional.

Hn... I'm pretty sure some people don't know whether they'd want to go home or not. Different circumstances.

That may be true, or maybe the circumstances of my own world are so truly bad that even this is better. You really can't know since you did not have to live in it.

Or you don't have a choice in the matter either way. Maybe Luceti is your only option.

I'd say it would depend on how... specific the Malnosso are about their test subjects. With their ability to reverse death, I can't see them letting anyone they wanted to study die, but since we can be injured very severely, have children, and presumably grow older - I'm not sure if anyone has noticed any changes resulting from aging and not injury, but it seems a safe assumption - it seems logical that they want to see how we cope with various situations.

But since people are apparently being sent home - or at least we think they're home - with very little reason, I can't think they'd be interested in us for our entire lifetimes. At least, I really, really wish they aren't.

It probably is too early to be very cynical, but this place seems to breed it. Too much time to think and too many restrictions on activities will do that to anyone.

That's exactly it -- too much time to think. And it's not like there are any activities of exceptional worth to do. [This is why he got so fed up he started building houses. Yeeeah.]

I know exactly what you mean. I tend to think too much to begin with, so if I don't have something to distract myself...

Maybe you need to speak to the Malnosso about that.

You must be new around here. There's no reason to really trust what the Malnosso say.
