[Despite the warning over the journals, Walter can't help but be intrigued by the "butterflies" flying around and "pecking" at villagers. He sends out his teriques in a small, fairly-harmless form resembling the Tease in an "exploratory" mode ( Read more... )

butterflies should be nice things, like black teriques

[And a cluster of Tease gets hit by a spiritual arrow from a vengeful Doumeki. A cluster in which your teriques was in of course. And now it's the sole survivor. Huh.]

[...Well. Uh. The teriques hovers there, almost as if it's confused. Because, you know, that wasn't supposed to happen. Now it has to go find more Tease to "hunt."]

[Doumeki is confused too. Because, you know, that wasn't supposed to happen either. So now he'll follow the teriques. And, uh. Kill all the Tease he can see in the meantime. Which naturally are the ones you're trying to "hunt".

...Sorry?]

[Why so mean, Doumeki. The teriques is just trying to accomplish its mission. At this rate, it's going to take all day.]

[See, Haruki Suzumiya has a problem. This problem is being stuck in his Brigade HQ. He's been tempted to go out, but even with flaming punches and such he only got a bit further out of the door at different times before just sighing and being forced to go back inside, bleeding from a new cut or three.

Perhaps he should run into ye olde Black Wings during one of these affairs]

[If Haruki is paying attention, he may notice the teriques speeding by. Flying after a pair of Tease.

It probably would have been more time-efficient to have tried trapping a Tease himself, but Walter thinks he's covering more ground by sending his teriques off separately.]

[And Haruki as he has seen Walter use this before... I'm pretty sure - actually recognizes it. ...And then promptly starts to look around for its owner. Because he assumes it can't go that far]

[Fenimore is staying inside house 34, because she's not a lunatic. So she'll probably meet you there when you get back. ...Presumably the others are around somewhere and she'd probably be usually sticking around with them most of the time, but unless anyone wants to make this a three+-way thread, she'll probably be on her way to checking the door for the umpteenth time to make sure it's really, really shut.

She's also carrying a broom as though prepared to whack any Tease that sneak in. She did read Allen's guide and knows that a stabbing weapon is better, but she really doesn't want those things to get in knife range, even if it was the largest in the kitchen.

Long story short, Walter may be greeted by a very timidly approaching Fenimore clutching a broom bristles-side-up in both hands.]

[Walter shuts the door firmly as he walks inside, his Ferines clothes dripping rainwater onto the doormat. He shakes his head, more focused on his hair and clothes at the moment to address Fenimore.

The Tease is still trapped inside his teriques, perhaps fluttering a little more aggressively now that there is another person nearby who can be snacked on.]

[She's startled by the opening door, but, luckily for Walter, she's slow enough to react that he's already inside by the time she thinks she should shut the door over.

She sighs in relief, lowering the broom.] Walter, you scared me! What were you doing ou--?

[Only shock prevents the gasp from becoming a scream when she catches sight of the Tease. She stumbles back, accidentally dropping the broom.] Look out!
