Brains are wondrous things.

This is a video I had to watch as an assignment for my neurology class.

It's a neuroanatomist who had a stroke, describing her stroke. It's almost 19 minutes long, but it's well worth watching.

I found this fascinating. Now I want to read her book. I also want to try to figure out how to get my right brain to be a little more active.

I love TED so much. My boss's wife was a 3-minute presenter last year, and because of that, we joined as TED associates last year and this year, and have their presentations playing live for a week on the big screen in one of our conference rooms. When I have time, I like to drop in and eat lunch while watching a presentation, or just spend a few minutes learning something new here and there. I wish I could take the whole week off and do nothing but absorb the amazing thoughts, ideas, insights, discoveries, etc. from all of the TED presentations. They do a mini-TED event here in Boulder in the summer, and I'm hoping to go this year.

I've got to run to a meeting, but I'll be sure to watch that video later. I want to learn how to activate my right brain, too! I'm struggling with that so much right now.
