My underkirtle and coif and sun hood are all now Very Yellow.

And I've re-dyed my hosen and trousers at the same time.

I shall now outshine the sun at shows. :-D

dylon "sunflower" machine dye. I wanted to use "Sahara Sun" cold water hand dye, but Robert Sayle don't carry those, so machine it had to be. This is oranger than my usual piss-yellow, but should look pretty good once it has faded a bit.

How did you happen to decide on yellow? Sounds spiffy--hope no one takes you for a jar of mustard and tries to stick a knife in you. ;)

I did my trousers yellow a couple of years ago, 'cause it was a change from the red of the previous pair, a little unusual, would look really good with my overtunic, and is v. authentic. Yellow is one of the easiest colours to dye, and yet little is worn by reenactors, so it would be highly acceptable ( ... )
