1. No, I'm in my cousin's 4-inch heels :). My family, on the whole, is pretty short - but there are tall algerians! I promise. Especially from the Sahara.

2. Yes :). I have another set of cousins - from my dad's younger brother - who look a lot like Sara. My mom's friend puts it this way: Ain't myotic disjunction grand?

3. She is totally Yoda. Pirate Princess Yoda.

I stumbled in here following some research on Maghrebian politics. Your entries are brilliantly written and exceptionally thoughtful and poignant. As someone keenly interested in Algerian politics and culture, this proved a serendipitous find. Seeing as it's been a while since you posted, however, I can only assume your trip is over.
