As it just so happened this year, Odyssey Con, a small con in Madison Wisconsin (relatively local for me) was held on the same weekend as FilkOntario.

Yay for good cons and new artwork! Especially on the way cool find on the Mary Jean Holmes piece.

Thanks for the kind words and kind thoughts! It's nice to know somebody is thinking of me!!! Hopefully we con make up for lost time and do more Schooner Fare at OVFF!!! Just got back from 10,000 BC. It was a pretty decent movie. Nice story line with romance, prophecy, and adventure with good costuming and some very nice CGI of Sabertooths and very dangerous giant flightless birds (Deionychus???). A nice piece of escapist fantasy adventure. I'll probably pick up the DVD when it comes out.

Well, there's always a need to go and see good friends and enjoy great music. If I had my druthers, I would have loved to do both cons as I usually do each year. Hopefully finances and scheduling will be kinder next year.

SOMEWHERE around here I have one or two Mary Jean Holmes pieces--she used to put a fair bit of stuff in art shows. Missed you at FKO but glad you had a good time at OddCon.
