[Meme] Appearance/Habits
I forgot I wanted to do one of these for Kon.
Clothing/appearance:
His hair first! Now that he's not in Edo anymore, he actually doesn't put it up in the topknot as much since it's kind of a bother. He does like how it looks though so sometimes he still does it. He'll also go with a loose ponytail or even one of those hairclips since it's quick. If he's cooking he'll usually put on a bandanna over his hair or else use a headband (cuz he's Asian and not adverse to hair accessories) for the sake of keeping his hair out of his eyes. Half the time he can't be assed though, so he'll leave his hair down and it's this messy mane of hair that looks like he only combed through it with his hand. Which is probably true. It's still that heavy kind of silky hair though, with a bit of a wave to it, and brushes pretty easily even if he just runs his hand through it.
Kon's clothes aren't always accurate with what's in his icons, though he'll still dress that way too. He likes patterns and stuff, so even his modern clothes tend to have some of that silkscreen flavor, but not overwhelmingly so. In the winter he tends to wear the more modern stuff; jeans and hoodies and jackets and things, particularly stuff with front pockets so he can sling up his right arm in it. In the warmer weather he'll be more likely to look like he does in his icons; a yukata with a kimono thrown over his shoulders. All his clothes are durable or comfy materials. His collection of clothes in camp isn't huge or anything, but it's pretty decent, since he likes to collect.
Physically, he's broad-shouldered and pretty tall. He's not super muscley, and even admits that the lifestyle of people in Edo can be tough on the modern person, but he's still pretty built; looks like he could pack a mean punch. Also, big hands... His fingers are long and the palm is sort of wide... I dunno, they're sturdy looking but not like... heavy?
Habits/mannerisms/body language:
He has a habit of... having things in his mouth. AN ORAL FIXATION you could say. It's not just smoking--though he'll have cigarettes on him--he likes to chew on things. He'll often have a lollipop in his mouth when you're talking to him, or be chewing on a toothpick, or he'll gnaw on his pens and pencils, or he'll hold paper cups with his teeth after he's done drinking from them, THIS SORT OF THING. He does this a lot, though not constantly, and he doesn't bite his nails, it's just... idk my bff takayama, she felt the need to do this. He probably does it more where there's sanitary chewable things rather than just putting anything in his mouth.
Also yes, he smokes. He's not really a heavy smoker though. It's pretty much once a day he'll get out his pipe and smoke a bit with a book in his lap, usually towards the evening. Sometimes he'll have a cigarette if he's just out for a walk or something and not in one of his places of relaxation. He probably mostly enjoys it for the atmosphere and patterns in the smoke. Also blowing smoke rings.
Wow I spent a lot of time talking about STUFF HE DOES WITH HIS MOUTH, let's see what other behavior things he has. In terms of the way he carries himself, he's a little bit slouchy. It's a pretty relaxed stance, and he doesn't usually look like he's in a hurry. It's mostly just because he gives off an impression of being really casual. Even when he's being aggressive, it's sort of a... casual aggressiveness XD. His body language is pretty open. When he sits he sort of curls up though, because he needs his knees to balance stuff on (well, not so much when there are chairs and tables around, but if he's in a library comfy chair he might pull his feet up onto it).
Part of the impression he gives people of being casual/calm/lazy is in his expressions! You can see them in his icons. I think even though his body language is open, his expressions can be kind of closed. It's not really a big deal, like OMG HE'S HIDING HORRIBLE EMO ALL THE TIME, he's just sort of naturally like that. He did used to be a punk who didn't care about anyone, after all. It's not always easy to tell what he's thinking by reading his expressions, basically. Luckily he will usually tell you what he's thinking without much reserve.
Also, Kon is really physical. Like violently so. If you're his friend and you're a guy, he will probably hit/kick/elbow/headbutt you at some point, particularly if you're the sturdier type. Obviously he's not aiming to really hurt anyone, it's just his way of showing friendliness and affection... Yeah. He generally tones it down for people he doesn't know too well, or if they respond badly to it, or if he doesn't feel friendly towards them, but sometimes he can't help himself. For girls he isn't nearly as physical because he thinks of them differently. He doesn't fight back when Kuchiha kicks him, just yells a lot. With girls he's more... he likes to tease them! Well, he likes to tease everyone, but girls will get more teasing to make up for him not wanting to rough-house with them.
He doesn't gesture overly much but he's fond of pointing, so he doesn't wave his hands around when he talks, but he'll often point at stuff or point at you, usually with whatever it was he had in his mouth at the time.
Current Residence: The crypt cabin!
Typical Daily Routine: ...sob maybe later. I'm pretty sure I described this somewhere before but it was probably a serious poll so now it's LOST FOREVER.
Favourite Haunts: The mess hall kitchens, the library, and Sophie's hut in the woods. He does a lot of reading every day and so the likeliest place to find him is actually the library. He probably hangs out at his cabin more now too, since I assume it's calmed down a little bit... I'm not sure who else is there anymore though...
Does he make his own bed?: Noooot likely. But he lives in the same place as Kuchiha again so he probably gets nagged/beaten into doing it.
