I read a lot. But a huge chuck of what I read is crap. It's like quiet TV you can take on the train. Fun to read, but not brain expanding. Additionally, because I bounced around a bit in high school, I have gaps in my literary education (Scarlett Letter? Never read it. Walled Lake had crappy English program and did American Lit in 10th grade,

I was a philosophy major who never took the Ancient Greeks or Logic, and all my philosophy of math has been gleaned from my own reading. It's a miracle I actually made time for Ethics. And now I'm in a psychology PhD program, never having taken a single blessed psychology class in my life.
