As of yet, Éponine still hadn't gotten around to acquiring an official residence anywhere. Éponine stared at him for several seconds, then let out a single loud, harsh laugh of disbelief. "What're you playing at? I've never seen you around here before, and you're damned well not my kid." He dressed and acted like someone much closer to her time period, though, and other people had blundered across the causeway like she did. "How'd you come here?"
