Wow. So it has finally gone full circle. I didn't need one when I originally signed up, but I know it was implemented soon after. Ah well. Guess I can cash in the codes I have if they're still doing that.

While I've never received one of these damned things (I've seen them several times, though), it is one of the reasons I generally keep anonymous commenting turned off. Stalkers, spammers, and jerks are the primary users of such things. Others use IM or e-mail if they aren't LJ users.
