THE CHARACTER
Name: Trish
Series: Devil May Cry
Age: Unknown; being a devil, and an artificially created one at that, makes her age impossible to pinpoint, but she appears to be in her early to mid-thirties.
Timeline: Post-DMC4.

History:

Trish originally approached demon hunter Dante Sparda as a potential client, asking for his help in preventing a demon from emerging into the human world. This demon, Mundus, was originally sealed away by Dante's father some two millennia before, and now sought to break free of his Underworld seal. The two headed for Mallet Island, the place where Mundus intended to open a gate between the two worlds; Dante operated solo for much of the venture, and after a time Trish suddenly confronted him in a betrayal, revealing that she'd actually been created by Mundus -- in an intentional likeness to Dante's dead mother, Eva -- to lure Dante to the island so that Mundus could kill him. After he defeated the monster she unleashed on him, Dante actually saved Trish from the cave-in that followed, telling her that he only did so because she had such a strong resemblance to his mother.

Shortly after, Dante confronted Mundus and found that the demon was about to kill Trish. Choosing to save her, Dante was injured in the process and left open to a shot from Mundus, but Trish leapt in the way and took the blow herself. The attack appeared to kill her, and after mourning her sacrifice, Dante left her there to pursue Mundus. In the final fight that followed, however, Trish reappeared to lend her strength to Dante, giving him the power needed to defeat his enemy. The two then escaped from the island together, and Trish soon took up a partnership with Dante in his demon-slaying agency.

Some time later, Trish infiltrated an organization known as the Order of the Sword by posing as an executive, allowing her to keep tabs on the people running it and report back to Dante on their intentions. Once the group was exposed, she assisted in clearing out the townspeople amid the battle that Dante and Nero took part in afterwards.

Personality:

Prior to developing MATERNAL feelings for Dante, Trish came off as cold, ruthless, and sarcastic. She obeyed her orders from Mundus without any evident second thoughts before Dante saved her, showing no remorse even during her actual act of betrayal. After Dante's influence, however, Trish underwent a significant change. Aside from proving that she was suddenly willing to die for his sake, she immediately displayed a softer side, even going so far as to give an emotional apology for her acts. Since then, she's been loyal to Dante and his cause.

With her change came a sudden regard for justice similar to Dante's: while she's taken up the demon-slaying business, Trish also works to protect the innocent with the same degree of putting her life at risk, even if her general disposition gives the impression that she couldn't care less about other people's problems. Despite harboring a rebellious nature, she doesn't think twice when it comes to taking orders from Dante when the pressure's on, and overall has a good heart despite an aloof and sometimes cold appearance. She can almost be called reckless given her disregard for danger, but arrogance tends to be part of the territory among devils and half-devils alike.

As such, Trish remains cocky, and generally has a lighthearted attitude towards just about everything. In the end, this makes her extremely relaxed and coolheaded most of the time, rarely going beyond annoyed and hardly ever shown to be angry. Even so, she's enthusiastic in both action and opinion and doesn't hesitate to speak her mind, whether it's in assistance or judgment. She retains plenty of her sarcasm, often teasing Dante and brushing off anything he throws at her in turn, and is prone to absent flirting despite never rarely making good on it.

Abilities:

Trish's primary fighting style favors melee attacks and hand-to-hand combat coupled with her superhuman strength. She's also able to produce and manipulate electricity through her hands as a form of attack, possesses a teleportation ability that works the same way, and is knowledgeable in the use of both firearms and swords. She also has a demonic healing factor that's able to let her recover from most attacks. There's little canon reference to what "devil magic" she possesses, but shapeshifting is at least one ability of hers.
Weapon: Luce, one of her twin rapid-fire pistols.

Preferred faction: Chaos, baby.

[The video begins with a blatant shot of her middle and chest. It lingers for a moment before she shifts the crystal face upwards, revealing bright red, well-manicured fingernails before the screen centers on her face]

So this is the game, huh? [She smirks thoughtfully] A little over the top, but you've got my attention. I guess now it's just a matter of sniffing you out. [Shrugging, she shifts the crystal again as she glances aside] That's not my strong suit, bu~t if you went through the trouble of seeking me out, I doubt I was first on your list, anyway.

[Her attention returns to the crystal] ...Or, if someone wants to make it easy and just sell out the mastermind with what you know upfront, that'd make my job a bit easier. [She regards the screen a moment more, still smirking, before turning off the feed]
