[[okay I've gone for prose but we can always slip into actionspam/whatever you prefer]]
Some people might've been severely creeped out by the setting: dark forest, full moon that kept dipping behind the clouds, strange rustling in the bushes and a generally eerie atmosphere. Wesker, having spent a ridiculous amount of time in abandoned mansions and the like, was not one of these people and trudged along quite serenely. Despite the dark, he hadn't yet removed his shades.
Glancing across at his companion, he asked her, "So, where now from here, Trish? I'd rather not spend too long stumbling around searching."

Trish regarded her companion with an irritated glance. It was one thing having to ask Wesker of all people to take down a holy barrier for her to pass through, it was another thing for her to deal with his whining. She crouched low, trying to make it through the bushes without making a sound.
"We move forward," She glanced back through the large hidden sword on her back and the guns on her side, surveying Wesker for any weapons, "Tell me you brought anything to kill demons."
Well, he was quite capable of killing things with his bare hands, though demons might be another matter. Being on another world naturally meant he couldn't be sure of his own abilities, when usually he'd have total confidence.
"Naturally," he replied, indicating the pistol snug in its holster, attached to his hip. The Samurai Edge had served him well for the past few years. "Are you expecting a lot of trouble, then?"
When Trish saw that he only brought a pistol, she was caught between laughing at him and facepalming.
"You only brought that?" Trish exclaimed, "You do realize there's a reason why I'm this heavily armed, right?""
Trish knelt and reached into her boot to grab a shuriken that she had hidden earlier. With a press of a catch, its blades expanded so that it was her height.

"Use this and shut up."
