I don't remember anyone's head exploding; but then again I don't remember anything much about this movie, except for busting out laughing when whatshisbutt slams into the table.
It can be seen when the Mystery Man shoots Mr. Eddy. It’s damn near subliminal and you have to pause your DVD at exactly the right moment in order to catch it. It quite disturbed me when I first noticed it--by accident--because this “thing” doesn’t look like Mr. Eddy at all (notice the long black hair) and neither does Mr. Eddy’s head explode when he takes a bullet. Maybe Lynch experimented with the effect, deemed it unconvincing, and put in this one single frame of it to augment the brainfuck.
I wonder if I should get this. I've never watched a thing by David Lynch, and I'm reading this lately. Never watched Twin Peaks either but it's supposed to be the closest thing to it in Japanese manga form ( it's also pretty good ).
