I think birthdays are not for us, but for other people to celebrate us.

It's possible, but a lot of my friends and family find it important to do something for me on my birthday.

And, of course, people who see something in me to celebrate either have low or no standards. Or they don't know me; that is also a possibility.

If you'll pardon my saying so, perhaps your friends and family are seeing something in you that you aren't, and they (we) want to celebrate the joy that you bring us by being in our worlds. I know, I know, it's crazy talk, but it's a thought.

*comfort* Aww, I hope you feel better. ok...bring it on bitch.

seriously though... you're right, your world ended back then... and now you live in mine. sorry baby... but i need you. i'm a selfish bitch, deal with it.
while you see your birthday as a bad thing, i see it as a celebration of one more year it has been less hard for me to be alive. my last thought to you when i die will be "forgive me".

proof that my "i love you" does not translate in a heinleinian fashion.

nonetheless, i love you.
